okay, so i did some intense sleuthing. i've been asking around the office, and various other community members (this includes accosting people at the grocer, on the street, at the bar, etc.)
i have a few answers, although they don't necessarily make me feel any better about the situation. so i guess the zebra guy owns a towing company here. he got into some type of accident on the job, and one of his thumbs apparently paid the price. i believe he lost part or maybe all of it. (yum!)
so....his friends and family had a little powow, i guess and decided they really wanted to do something nice for him to make him feel better. so like many intelligent, thoughtful people would have done....they decided to buy him a zebra. you heard me, they bought him a zebra. this guy says that there is some "adopt a zebra" program and apparently that is how the friends/family acquired said zebra.
hey, guess what??? i don't believe a word this guy says.
i think he totally purchased the zebra illegally and he's covering up with the nubbin and the zebra adoption agency.
