the dogs could not be happier about the snow. they search out the deeper patches and happily roll around in it. they stand by the door all day just waiting for someone to let them out to frolic. i do not share their enthusiasm; this should come as no surprise. in fact my soul feels about as cold as the icicles on the trees but the dogs are so bonkers for the snow, i can't but smile in these [frigid] moments. i promise that i'll stop complaining soon.*
